Early Bird Catches the ... Bird

So since it gets so hot here during the day it gets very quiet in the jungle later on. So for seeing wildlife you need to get up earlier when it is nice and cool. The bird songs are beautiful, bugs chirping and monkeys howling.

This morning I was able to add three more birds to my every growing list.
House Wren

Male AntStriker (The mate of the brown one I posted a couple of days ago)

Female Painted Bunting which is apparently hard to spot here.
Time to check on the watering system in the garden to make sure it is all getting watered over night. There is a very high content of calcium in the water here and so the soaker heads sometimes will get clogged up. A simple nail poked in it will clear the line or if it is really bad you just remove it and rinse it out. #JungleLife We are really enjoying ourselves here. Mornings and evenings are the busiest times as it is much cooler. The sun will burn my pale Irish skin in a heartbeat here so I have to make sure to lather on the sunblock every morning first thing, wear a big wide brimmed hat and jump from shadow to shadow 😁

Thanks for dropping by again,
Sue and her sidekick
